Medical effect: Melex tablets are effective for the treatment of the following diseases and conditions:

• anxiety or tension,
• depression,
• fatigue,
• obsessiveness, fear or sleep disorders in neurosis,
• anxiety, tension, depression, fatigue or sleep disorders in psychosomatic disorders (stomach, duodenal ulcer, etc.).

Contraindications and precautions: do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use in patients with glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, cardiac, liver, renal or respiratory disorder.

If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the medication and consult with your doctor. If you’re taking any other medication, please consult with your doctor before use.

As this medicine may cause sleepiness, avoid driving a car, working at heights or operating dangerous machinery. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medication.

Dosage and administration of Melex tablets 1 mg from Japan for anxiety and stress (Sedoxil, mexazolam)

For adults, take 0.5-1 tablet at a time, 3 times a day. For the elderly, the daily dose is limited to 1.5 tablets.

The dosage may be adjusted by the consulting doctor according to age, weight and symptoms.

How effective are Japanese Melex tablets 1 mg for anxiety and stress (Sedoxil, mexazolam)?

Melex tablets contain mexazolam, a benzodiazepine derivative. It acts on benzodiazepine receptors in the brain, and relieves anxiety and stress. Melex tablets are prescribed for the treatment of anxiety or tension, depression, fatigue; obsessiveness, fear or sleep disorders in neurosis; anxiety, tension, depression, fatigue or sleep disorders in psychosomatic disorders (stomach, duodenal ulcer, etc.).

Who should take Melex tablets 1 mg from Japan?

Melex tablets are generally well tolerated, with a low incidence of drowsiness and sedation. Moreover, studies show that mexazolam does not impair psychomotor or cognitive performance and even improves memory (H. Fernandes, R. Moreira. “Mexazolam: Clinical Efficacy and Tolerability in the Treatment of Anxiety”. Neurology and Therapy. 2014 Jun; 3(1): 1–14).

However, this medication is not designed for long-term treatment. The duration of the treatment should be prescribed by the consulting doctor and usually lasts for 1-3 weeks.
